Glasgow guy here visiting Dublin on Saturday and staying in Temple Bar, know this area well but would appreciate any suggestions on bars/areas with more locals, cheaper prices but with the same live music and party atmosphere.

Get out of temple bar and try Darkey Kellys uo beside Christchurch and Peader Brown's on Clanbrassil Street. Cheaper and better music
