I do not like the man and wouldn't mind seeing his demise as a politician. But as said before, as long as it doesn't interfere with his job then his private life is his private life |

Everyone knew Charlie Haughey was having an affair with Terry Keane. Never published out of the control he had over the media.

Being gay is irrelevant. A politician being intimate with someone who isn't your partner in public is a big gaffe. I hope he and his partner have an arrangement and that this isn't cheating.. because this would be a shitty way to find out who your partner really is. |

I seconded the previous poster's comment - a public figure's behaviour is scrutinized in public. If these public figures don't want to be gossiped about and judged, then they might want to think twice about how they conduct themselves in public (regardless of whether they're snogging/fucking same sex, different sex, young or old, different religion or race, with their partner or with someone not their partner - just to clarify before you label me as someone who discriminates).
At no point did the previous poster make any additional comment or judgement bar that behaviour in public cannot possibly be private - because you're surrounded by people who see, hear and talk.
Why is it that you read any more into this, starting with the discrimination argument?!

I think these examples are not like the others.
All other things being equal, if i only have a choice beetween a politician that scores a man who isn't his partner ,in his own casino ,while riding nuns and a Rhino hunting , anti-choice weirdo, then i'll vote for the nun riding ,philandering , gambling mogul.
I agree with you it does matter what politicians do in their spare time, but i think that has to be taken case by case.

Well before you go any further.. i simply said he looked directly at the camera, he knew he was there, he knew the cameras would be on him.
