They had to use the M prefix because to stop people confusing reports on the Mpox and the poxes in government

I don't get it. They say the name Monkeypox is racist and stigmatising. So what does the 'm' stand for then, because if it's still 'monkey' then the name change is pointless and a waste of time and money. I can't believe people are paid to waste time doing this stuff.

Abbreviating it to Mpox makes no difference and people will forever associate the 'm' with 'monkey' :-S.
