Where I believe it will be of benefit, and will not provoke an adversereaction I enjoygiving constructive feedback to organisations and individuals whose work or performance could be improved.
Have ever given feedback which was not welcomed and produced a severe adverse reaction from the recipient.
For the record, I also very frequently give positive feedback in appreciation of good service.
Surprisingly, I sometimes have to explain myself, as individuals are often so unused to positive feedback!
A couple of years ago, I broached the subject of a friend's extraordinarily bad halitosis, bad breath; no-one had ever previously had the guts to tell him; he had wondered why women withdrew from him in nightclubs.
Positive feedback had a positive result, but some recipients react badly! |
