Okay so we have been observing and we see that alot of people are always saying that there is never any events or socials in there local area so we just were wondering if there was events in your local area would you attend them? |

We reluctantly stopped attending our regular local social due to meeting too many people we knew. Our privacy is too important to us.
I would imagine it's the same for some other couples and ladies and their local socials in rural areas. |

With so many members spread out it would be hard to set up events in every local area.
As some stated they would love local and some, not so much.
It would also be added hassle on organizers to begin new ones not knowing if they're going to be enough coming to cover costs.
As someone who tried to organize a meet event once it is a lot of work.
I can only assume it gets easier as you make contacts.
Unless some small scale meets for locals are organized, like Swing 4 Lou x40 mentioned above. |

Organising events can be hard work getting people to commit and turn up isn't as easy as it sounds
...local stuff may not suit people as much as some like the autonomy of mixing and making connections outside of their locality....familiarity breeds contempt comes to mind...
Local does not mean like minded |
