Simon Coveney has asked very quickly to counter the Russian government's actions, in banning named individuals from entering Russia, by asking some of the 25 Russian staff at the embassy in Rathgar to leave.
Relations are definitely deteriorating, but the massive complex at Orwell Road is probably more than a diplomatic mission.
It is conjected that a significant spying and intelligence gathering operation exists within the Russian embassy in Dublin, and is more than an office for visas.
Concerns about this site stretch back almost fifty years and Russians have been asked to leave before for in appropriate actions, that is spying! |
