Those declarations are about opportunity often rather than patriotism
They knew they could play in more tournaments playing for England
They would have ‘felt’ more Irish if this was a charlton level squad
Whereas zaha chose Ivory Coast not England because he is more guaranteed to be picked , very little to do with his love for the country |

Jamaica could ask the same about sterling. Personally I don't want anyone playing for Ireland who is so wishy washy as rice. You either want to play for the country or not. |
