It was a very emotional interview, fair play to him for his courage and honesty as I'm sure others in similar situations now may feel somewhat less alone after listening to him share his story..

It's nit easy to be open about such a trauma hopefully with him opening up ut will start him to heal and maybe bring others the confidence to open up and find there inner peace as well

He's always been such an amazing guy in how he cares for animals and ever since I heard his "not people persons" view I'll never forget it. I'm a complete dog lover myself so I love to see him promoting and socialising the unconditional love that some animals will give humans because their value system is so much purer than ours most of the time.

That then makes even more sense with this unloading he's given and I'm happy for him that he's found a place where he's confident with opening up about this. I hope it helps other people to do the same and find a path to the happiness and self-acceptance we all deserve.

P.S. I continue to be shamed by the goodness of dogs, and like most of us, I'm a work in progress.

It's very sad to hear this about the super vet and I'm glad he is speaking about it. I'm sure it's not easy. Fair play to him!

I saw the title of this thread and thought it was going to be about that he was the inspiration for the song Toxic. Which is the only thing I really know about him.

Anyone wanna summarise what happened, I'd rather gouge my own eyes out than watch the late late

I had to Google just now to find out who he is, another sad story of childhood sex abuse and school bullying, I prefer animals myself too.

I've never seen his programmes and had no idea what he even looked like until googling now but it's not really surprising he had such a close bond with animals based on the summary I just read.

Ahh he always seems like a such a lovely guy.

From an online article, Noel confided in the parish priest that he was being abused ..

'[He said] that God would punish me and send me to Hell, and that I was a bad person bringing these words into God's house,' the book says.

'His parting instruction was to say penance prayers and never speak of it again,

Scum one and all
