"What is coddle
It's a stew with sausages and rashers, or whatever is lying around.
It looks horrendous but tastes ok.
It doesn't sound appealing "
Sausage, bacon chunks, carrot, potato, onion and veg stock boiled up and served with bread delicious |

Patatoes, sausages , rashers , tomato , mushrooms, onions , carrots , soup .
Not sure exactly how the mammy's make it but it is delicious .
Sausages are put staright in to boiling pot , not fried or oven cooked .
It's an old Dublin meal , rarely made outside Dublin or so I'm told |

But when I cook a stew I don't fry up the meat first either... I think I'll need to put that to the test... himself will be delighted or

Not in Irish shops and apparently not in Northern Ireland Tesco either... only available USA/Canada and in Germany...so online but prices are extortionate.
