Yes, we out our best photos out there, using angles & lighting to make us look our best. But when I send face pics, I try for them to be current & as real as possible. I would hate to arrange to meet someone & them to be dissapointed with my reality. Same with age honesty..
I would love to hear people's experiences of being catfished or catfishing others.

A few chats have ended very abruptly before socials happened purely because of this.
It's basically a lie and deception.
And I make no exceptions for that. Instant cheerio.
I always send a 'day' pic as a face pic so, minimal or no make up, not a glammed up shot or fudged with filter or lighting. One was even straight after a shower, wet hair and nothing but moisturiser on me.
I figure, if they still want the base-line version of me, they'll enjoy the sweaty sexed out version and anything that comes from the chat will be very chill. I'm just not one for checking my lippy between orgasms   |

When I first joined up about 7 years ago, I got chatting to someone over a number of weeks. I was early 30's and she was mid 40's and hit it off. We shared photos and there was attraction there for both of us. We decided to meet up for lunch and I travelled approx an hour to meet her.
The person who walked in looked like her older sister... She was clearly using photos 10+ years out of date. She looked mid to late 50's and even thoigh I was a little disappointed, I didn't let on and decided to go ahead wirh the lunch and chat.
I didn't have the heart to approach the subject as although I was lied to, she was probably struggling with her self confidence and probably why she used the photos. Said goodbye afterwards and decided to leave it at thatz didnt leave her a review as wasnt going to lie about the experience but that was the only time it happened to me so far..

Way way way back one of my first online video chats was with a “woman” who turned out to be a man with a bit of a chest….. god know who I was chatting with on forums and chat rooms back in the 00’s |

Ye it has happened to me a few times when I met someone for a coffee.
One guy had gone from dark hair to grey hair overnight and aged about 10 years yet still claimed the photo he sent was only taken a week previous.
Another guy was a lot heavier than he was in his pics and when I refused to kiss him when I was leaving the place where we met for coffee he asked why so I told him that I had no interest in someone who was either using old pics or pics of someone else he said they were his pics and while yes they were well out of date (even though they had been posted a only 2 months previously)they were still of him so he didn't see any issue.I told him if he had been truthful I would have had more respect for him.Seemingly I wasn't the first woman to tell him the same thing. |

Experienced this in my early days. Met a couple (blind meet) I had an image build up based on their extremely hot pics. Needless to say they were not the couple that were in the pics. The female was no more interested in the scene so my take was it was all him. It was left at just a social to which the male half wasn't impressed
That is why now along with other let downs I only meet at parties and social events |

I always feel like I’m accidentally catfishing people, maybe it’s my own insecurities or I’m bad at taking compliments but I never feel that I look as good as my pics ! |
