Why is it that when you send a message to someone in here that they just choose not to reply? I mean at least tell me to fuck off or failing that just tell me why you're not interested, or is that too much to expect? |

I have on my profile that i wont meet smokers drug users married men and that i will delete messages if they send me one. If they dont read my profile or ignore it thats on them when i don't respond. |

I don't get a lot of messages but I no longer answer every message I get. Usually because they have cheated past my filters or ignored what I have written on my profile or they have a profile that doesn't appeal to me so I don't see any point in replying and them taking that as a chance to keep messaging. Or it might be I'm too tired to bother replying at that time if I'm honest.
Op you can just take as a no reply as they are not interested and move on. |

If we don't reply we get follow-up messages anyway, either asking why we're not replying or trying to have a one-sided conversation. This could go on. And on.
If we do reply we get follow-up messages anyway, telling us if we change our mind blah blah blah.
And sometimes, regardless of whether we reply or not, we get the exact same message a week or so later.

I would try not to take it personally, you have to consider the amount of mail couples and females get and how tiresome it must be replying to them all, and maybe some people dont like a polite no, or take a reply as being receptive to a meet.. you have to just keep rolling the dice, and maybe get a profile pic, it couldnt hurt |

My filters are pretty tight now but when I joined Fab first I woke up to 402 messages. If ladies were to reply to every single message they would need to take on a sexetary. Even if you do reply not interested you'll leave yourself open to the following scenarios
Oh OK why don't we just chat
what's your Snapchat wanna see me wank. Ah no thanks I'm not a chatline
The I'll change your mind you don't know what your missing messages which leads to further back and forth
The men who can't take rejection very well replies. Ah better off not meeting you you're probably riddled with everything going (ten minutes before I was the hottest baby on Fab)
Then the ones who say that's OK thanks for replying but hit you up with the exact same message two weeks later

Because a lot of the time you say thank but not interested and then they try to persuade you that you are wrong.
Its goes back and forth and at the end we are still not interested and then also fed up and annoyed too. Not answering is just easier.

I used to always reply. Or at least try my very very best when I first joined. But then I got so much grief in their replies to my no thank you. I stopped.
I do still get shitty messages from men when I don't reply but now it's less.

OK Ive been in the situation before so here's my tuppence worth. As a couple we get lots of mails. Regardless of what I write in bio still get single guy mails. More often then not I'd reply with a 'thank you for messaging but not looking to meet single guys' etc. This should be enough in my opinion.. But no, still get a follow up mail. I usually wouldnt even reply. Unless I engage in conversations with the sender then take it I'm not interested. When I had a single girl profile it was unreal. I've seen with my own eyes however a single friend of mine joined two weeks ago with no profile pic even has 185 unread emails sitting in her mailbox. There's absolutely no way she'll be replying to the majority of them and I don't blame her. So if you get no further reply just move on. This is not the first thread like this it's part of the fab life. Either accept it or get over it |

This profile is about 3 months old and in that time we have received less than 20 messages.
We have had a few repeat messages and quite a few ignoring the profile text completely.
We have replied to all of them regardless and some have accepted that and some have turned nasty or started the whole why not conversation.
A few have pushed and pushed and asked for honest replies and they've picked the right profile if that's what they're asking for but then go off on one when they get exactly that.
Lazy blank profiles that have made little or no effort don't interest us and our profile is kind enough to give a detailed blueprint of how to approach us.
And yet......

We don't get many messages but if you're obviously not what we're looking for or you obviously haven't read our profile then chances are we won't reply. Because if you haven't bothered to at least do that much, then why would I bother to reply?
Also sometimes I just can't be arsed.

Just another note OP... You've no profile pic and a friends only one. Do you seriously expect people to add you as a friend where you can see their private pics which may include their face pics when you have no public pics at all?? This is probably a pretty good reason why people don't reply. |

If only it was thst easy. Time is very valuable to me even if its just to spend it unwinding. I don't want to be replying to everyone that sends me msgs. It's also why I have single males blocked. Even when I did reply saying I wasn't interested I then got abusive msgs so really, there's no point in replying. |

Agree with everyone else on the common sense answers above (that apparently aren't common sense)...
To add to that.. continuously having to turn people down (for whatever reason) really doesn't feel great.
It's kinda funny/sad how people think couples/women often act entitled here but really we find people think a reply owes them an instant invite.
The kind, respectful people on the other hand.. it's difficult to tell them no because they're nice but we're not going to pity fuck people  |

I never look at winks anymore I haven't in a long time. I don't know why I stopped looking but now I just can't be bothered as I'm not meeting anyone new at present .The only time I might is if it's part of a forum thread. |

This thing of insulting people especially couples and women by what seems to be mainly single males doesn’t make sense. If your out for the night and on the pull I have yet to know of someone who is insulting and abusive getting even a second look let alone laid! Op, you need to remove the personal feelings.
I've organised a small group event for this week, in total it equated to 719 messages.
That's not 719 individuals, see how quickly it adds up?
As was mentioned earlier, if someone didn't read the profile correctly and still messaged then that's a no reply.
The usual generic one sentence message is simply unacceptable.
Read through the FAQs, it'll help you get a better understanding.
