You'll never please everyone so what will be right for one will be a total turn off for another.

Lose the "you'll never regret this" or " ill be the best you'll ever have" bullshit. It's very annoying and guys come across arrogant.
I prefer not getting dick pics right away. Especially of guys standing over a toilet 
I get a lot of "you're beautiful" when you can't even see my face in photos so you know they send that to loads of women.
I say to guys refer to something in the profile at least it shows you actually read it.

I should also note. Its not always that the message is bad. Its just with the amount of messages women get we can't possibly reply to them all.
I personally don't have the time to say no thanks to everyone. Unless someone fits what I'm looking for I don't reply just because it's not possible to reply to everyone |

I don't think there is a one size fits all like a first time message template..
I think getting across that you have read their profile is a good start, show that its not a copy and paste type message, don't start with a dick pic, try show some sense of humour, be creative and genuine....
...like your message still likely won't be read but I think the above are good features of a decent first message  |

Def not a one message for all.
The "I'd love to lick you out" " you're beautiful" etc turn me off first of you have no idea what I look like secondly if you going to lick me out you need to interest me both mentally and physically.
When I get a message and I look at your profile if there is something that I've noted on my profile that I don't like I'm done, simple.

And if you do send a message and we haven't replied within a couple of hours, don't send another getting pissed about it.
Also.. don't send one, and then another. And another. Especially if we haven't replied to the first. |

Yeah but there is always the worry that the first message got lost in the post or mislaid  
Second one is just to verify it got there OK...
Third is just because I don't like even numbers generally..
Fourth is just a welfare check, out of geniune concern for you because maybe you got hurt and can't reach the phone to reply...

Read their profile and be interested , many of them , they don't know what they fuckin want here, and that's your opportunity to be initiate and be creative.
If you treat them like a product on the shelf , you won't get anything out of this.

It's not about trying to cause the other person to reply regardless of compatibility... its about just being what they are looking for and vice versa. Don't just send out messages to everyone because you'd fuck them all. Choose who you think you'd click with, and who is looking for what you are offering. Then there is little convincing needed, and everyone is naturally happy without forcing anything |

Now I haven't done this in an age...but just as women get sooo many they can't replay to" (poor things ) Therefore men have to send so many messages to have a chance comparatively. So you can make an excellent message, and then when you see a profile you like just slightly Taylor it and off you go. Rinse and repeat, copy and paste.

Something that's nice and normal, maybe a little humorous or cheeky in a nice way. But definitely have read our profile. It's really easy to see who has and who hasn't so something that's definitely personalized makes a big difference. |

I've conducted a social experiment on my single profile ( missus is the username if you would like to check it out) where I have listed a small list of things that I'm categorically not looking for, then asking those who don't match my preferences to ignore rest of the profile and a list of very basic questions for those who do match what I'm looking for.
Result has been absolutely outstanding!
I love reading all the answers and most people who message me tell me that it's a great idea as they don't have to sit and scratch their heads busy trying to come up with another boring chat up line

Many of us, when noobs, would have messaged a lot of people, with possibly lewd messages, in our initial enthusiasm.
We hadn't copped on and understood how Fab worked.
It's one of the reasons I usually clear my Blocklist of a New Year, to give peace a chance like
