Any insight as to why someone would go to the bother of approaching and chatting with a person sending and receiving pictures agree to meet and then suddenly just disappear. Tbh it makes me think twice about sending out my pics as there is nothing to stop them saving the pics to their phone |

Yeah sounds familiar, full of chat and flirting, swap pics, still chat and flirt, talk about meeting and it goes all quiet.
It seems it is par for the course, with some exceptions. |

True there is but a few tIme wasters on here too getting kicks out of imagining it happening annoying when ur time could be used with somebody who generally wants to meet . |

Circumstances & Situations can change for someone during a day but if you cannot meet you should always give the other person as much notice as possible - Thats manners! But if they cut all contact that may be a different story. |

I agree but I suppose until you actually meet someone face to face you never really know if they are genuine or not! At the end of the day it easy for people to be whoever they want to be or say whatever they want behind the comfort of their PC.. |

There are a lot of men who still use charm to collect phone numbers and pictures and want to know what you like to do sexually so they can get off on it.
Even though how I go about things is very strict which is why I don't meet as many men as I would like I still get the odd time waster here and there but the thing about men is they tend to set a pattern and I have started to see the pattern and know the signs.
For instance one sign that I have noticed (and I should not really put this on the forum as it gives the men the one up to keep fooling some women)you will find that if a meet is arranged there will be no contact at all for a few days running up to the meet. In my eyes and experience when they are all over you like a rash at the start and always logging in and then you start to see less and less and then no logging in I can tell the meet is not going to happen and that has not just happened to me but to others I know so guys we know the signs. And that's just one of many signs but I will not go into them on here |

Possibly panic tbh none of us really know who we are chatting with until we meet face to face. We don't know people's personal situations (nor do we want to know) this is simply a facility to allow us to hopefully meet like minded people. Sometimes though I wonder can we actually be careful enough ever.... |

I think people should chat on here first and after a couple of weeks exchange phone numbers if you think it is safe to do so and after another few weeks arrange a meet and hopefully everything will work out...  |

I posted on a thread started by a guy, on a similar theme, and got a bit of abuse, nothing unusual on the forums and as I'm a big boy I can take it!

I wasn't aiming my post only at men because as it so happens my particular experience of this scenario was a female but I have also experienced men who have done the same and just disappeared into the black hole lol |

pretty much anyone we have talked to with possibly the idea of meeting has refused to verify on cam once we mention it. Even when explaining it is just so they can see us and vice versa, not for anything else, always a no. Strange. I just dont see why anyone would meet just based on a pic someone sent them considering it could be anyones pic. But sure. |

from a techie point of view, id say people do not want video of their face being uploaded to the fabs server. same with face pics. once its on an internet server, it stays there.
it might be better to send the face pic to a third party email server like a g mail account set up specifically for your privacy, to receive those pics. and then the face pic/video is not linked to fabs in any way.
you just cant be too careful on the aul inter web |

yeah i agree with you there, we dont keep face pics on here, not a chance. We would use msn for cam etc, but even then it's an instant no no. ah well maybe they just change their minds after talking to us lol |

A lot of men don't stick around for a couple of weeks on here chatting if your not gong to meet within 48 hours of chatting a lot of men lose interest. So there goes that idea out the window lol |

I did try to make this point in my form about people been all talk and not meeting or been not the sex the say the are, I did not get as much suport or people agreeing. I am sure men do it to but this was a female profile, I have a female friend that had this happen lots of times to her and she was sure it was men on a woman's profile. |

Happened to me (twice) got chatting, added to friends list and they left the site shortly after. In one case I sort of guessed the person would leave (they more or less said they were only looking) but the other just vanished without trace.
At first I thought maybe it was something I said/did/didn't do but then I remembered this is the internet after all people will make up false profiles to snoop around and see if they know anyone - It's also why all my pictures don't have my face in them.
I would have no problem doing a quick verify cam if I had to but it would strictly be a "face to face" chat - it's far too easy to take a screen shot these days and while personally I could not give a rats arse if anyone knew I was on here (I'm an adult and I make my own choices) there are some sad individuals out there that would just love to wave some sort of moral flag around |

Well I have a meet organised for tonight and if I am totally honest I won't even bother getting ready because the person is showing typical signs of last minute nonsense.
Been chatting to me up to last night but today NO RESPONSE at all even though he is on line and I have sent one email asking if everything was still good for this evening. You know what the response is YIP you have guessed it. Nothing Nada he has my play phone number as I always ask if your not going to make it at least be honest and let me know.
So seems it's me on the sofa with Mr Cougar catching up ON eastenders lol and that's why I won't be getting ready as he has not given me an indication that he is making the effort to meet tonight and the annoying thing is "he contacted me first" ah well you live and learn |

Sounds familiar cougar it even happens to men. What bugs me most is peoples inability to say sorry. If u can't meet someone when u have arranged it how hard is it to apologise !!!!!! Its the way it is and always will be with swinging, 5 years now and still get caught by same shite |

Not a thing and he is still online as we speak right now at 21.19.
As I said I sent him emails today which he answered one of to say YES it is still happening. But at present he is 90 minutes late no phone call no nothing but he was still online at 21.18pm tonight before I blocked him don't need to hear his nonsense.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble as well. I agree it's not too difficult to say to somebody "sorry your not really what I was looking for" but onwards and upwards it won't deter me (don't let it deter anybody) from having fun it's just a blip and they don't last very long! |
