"My brother is on it. He gets regular injections from the GP. Took a while to get the right dosage that he needed"
Sound like he got lucky finding GP who prescribed "T". Finding Dr who will prescribe TRT in Ireland almost same as finding Casino/Strip club in Vatican city)) |

Not really if you're testosterone is on the floor any doctor worth his profession will perscribe trt as a treatment, between 300-1200 is he normal range for T for most men but below 5 nearly always needs a boost |

Unfortunately not that simple when it comes to GPs and TRT in Ireland. If it's in a normal range which is 8.64-29.0 nmol/L you have low chance get prescription. GP said to me. I quote: " We only prescribe if it's below 5"
So if you 8.64 you are in the normal range...Good luck and all the best. |

Cork Dublin Athlone Letterkenny have clinics where you can got and get checked. It's not like taking the level of juice that bodybuilders take. But it's very important to get checked as if it's too low it can lead to health problems. Google will give you the address and contact numbers for them,4 clinics in the country. |

There are plenty blood test clinic etc. where you can get checked. The issue is to find clinic or doctor who will prescribes or do treatment after you got your test results.By now I research and study this subject, I probably could pass endocrinology doctor exam when it comes to TRT. I have test done, but can't find the clinic or doctor who would prescribe. If you or anyone have info who does that send me over |

Can't speak on TRT.....its very of the moment. Its worrying to me though seeing lots of relatively young men on it. A man's test count even in his 40s should be still be high enough....
I will say it annoys me how little the average GP know anything about male endocrinology. The average Testosterone count can land within a broad range....300 to 1,000 nanograms per deciliter. Big difference between 300 and 700.....
It is well worth getting bloods analysed and understanding where you are at. Lots of natural things you can do/take to boost it (many of them go against established narratives).
If it really is low optimising diet/exercise/rest and some supplementation (Zinc/Magnesium/Tribulus/Tongkat) can have a huge impact.
All that said might hop on the TRT when I hit 60 and be a jacked sleazy pensioner |

"Any guys here on Testosterone Replacement Therapy? "
----------------
One of my friends tried it. He's in his 50's, eats healthy, trains often and says it's helped him.
I think for most men, it's about getting the basics right first (healthy food, weight training, manageable stress levels, sufficient sleep) first though before resorting to TRT...

I did the male hormone advanced test with lets gets checked. One of the things I’m quickly realising is everyone is using different units of measure!!!
Came back with
Normal testosterone, 11.9nmol/L in a range of 7.6-31
Normal oestradiol, 44pmol/L in a range of 0-192
Normal prolactin, 288 mIU/L in a range of 86-324
Free androgen index was inconclusive
Sex hormone binding globulin, insufficient sample even though I was bleeding like a stuck pig from fucking jabbing myself!!
For me one of the drawbacks from let’s get checked is there’s no interpretation of the results. However google says the oestradiol is a breakdown product of testosterone, so if Ts low the oestradiol is likely to be low. Sleep, diet, exercise and stress are all contributors to testosterone levels, all of which I knew I needed to improve.
Having looked at low T, I’m curious to know my stress hormone (cortisol) levels now, as that’s linked to so many diseases |

It's free sex binding test you need to get checked..go get checked properly .just cause test is normal range doesn't mean enough of it is freed up ..that's where people get it wrong .
A decent doctor can do it for you |

Disclaimer - coming right up some glorified bro science ahem.....
Liamo69 is correct - Sex hormone binding globulin [SHBG] is the most important metric so would encourage you to get that checked out. A half ways decent GP can do this for you but don't expect the average GP to give you any great insights...as long as you fall in these broad ranges they will say you are fine.
As you have mentioned yourself your overall Test is on the low end. As others on here have said loads you can do top to optimise/improve.
Best of luck! |
