Common newbie misconceptions:
1. Blank/rubbish profiles are "mysterious"
2. Women here have no morals nor standards - more veries they have - more loose and accessible they are (regardless of what verifications actually say).
3. Women have their pick on whoever they want to meet 
4. Everyone is just constantly sucking and fucking or talking about it.
5. "Mmmmmmm" or exposed genitals is an acceptable way to approach strangers.

Where to start
That just because your profile says your online doesn't actually mean you are - half the time I just don't log out
That sending cut & paste messages gets you anywhere.
That every single lady is a 'unicorn' and here for couples pleasure. Major gripe for me. It's about everyone's pleasure! And that's from experience as a single and as part of a couple
That just because you have a profile on here that you wil lower your standards for anyone. Eh not a chance!
That the legal jargon people put on their profiles means anything
That by sending a woman a million dick pics that she wil fancy you
That no effort will get you a meet and then complaining about it
That females actually have time to answer every message they receive!
That being rejected on here is the end of the world
That everyone wants to be part of the dramas on here... seriously it is not a school playground. The site is about meeting like minded people and having fun!!

They’re an interesting and complex type of thread .
I think at their simplest they can be a pleasant start for people who May not have the inclination or energy to engage in something more controversial at that time .
But occasionally I have seen a bit of competition arise as to who starts them first . There is also possibly an attempt at gaining legitimacy for the odd profile especially where there have been question marks about the profile dynamics/likelihood of trolling |
