When you arrive at a coffee meet in a public area wearing a nice pair of leather leggings and a cute vest top but he has the look of "Thought she might have worn something a bit more sexy" on his face....
Is there a protocol for making an effort to meet for coffee? |

I honestly wouldn’t care what the person is wearing and would hope they feel similar. I’m self conscious enough without having to be worrying if what I’m wearing is ‘good’ enough |

I'd call leather leggings major effort. It will be jeans for me unless it's really hot (a dress) or I'm going somewhere requiring smart attire. It's a coffee for Chrissakes |

It's a coffee meet if he's dissappointed you weren't dressed different than you were than he obviously doesn't get what a social is. And to be fair what you wore sounds pretty great anyhow. I don't go all out sexy for a coffee meet either I dress in what I like and feel comfortable in public in.
Sexy stuff would be later if we meet again.Mind you if he gave me the look that he was dissappointed on the coffee meet there would definitely not be another one anyhow. |

I've gone to coffee meets straight from work in a T-shirt and jeans because I didn't have the option of changing.
I've gone to meets on other days straight from work in a suit and taken off the jacket and tie before doing in so that I would be more comfortable and it looked pretentious.
Comfort is vital especially on a first meet so whatever that means to each individual and there shouldn't be any pressure or expectation to dress in a particular way. Smart casual is best. |

I've seen that outfit on you and you look amazing in it and incredibly sexy |

A coffee meet is to feel comfortable with each other . A lady if she wore something to sexy she might not feel comfortable . I would call leather leggings as sexy and would not be moaning about how a lady is dressed |

Same set definitely looks good in that outfit.
I usually wear a dress but I dint go out of my way or wear anything overly sexy, it's a social meet. |

Having met and seen you in this outfit you are absolutely stunning...
At the end of the day it is not about what you wear it is about the person wearing the clothing...

If its coffee we just wear whats comfortable but we will still make a little effort but generally it will be casual.
We've told this story previously on other threads. But we arranged a meeting at a hotel with a guy for a drink and the suggestion that if it went well it would turn into a bit more on the evening.
We both made an effort, Mrs in particular had hair & makeup done, nice dress, heels. He turned up in a t-shirt, dirty shorts and sliders. |

Casual is fine for coffee. If it’s on a Saturday or Sunday then maybe a bit more high end casual.
But no need to go all out on first audition, especially these days with athleisure and dressing down trend.
Keep the good stuff for the bigger nights/dates |

Why be more high end at the weekend than apposed to during the week? |

Oh that’s just a personal preference if I was dressing up for a caffeine filled conversation.
Probably because it’s office/work during the week, so don’t get a chance to throw on nicer Casuals.
I have a weekend wardrobe lol |

Why would having coffee on a Sunday make you dress more high end? |

For a social pre-sex meet, I would try to look presentable & dress in my usual smart casual style.
I would want to reflect by my choice of dress something of my personality.
For the actual sex meet, as a naturist I have a preference for total nudity. |

If they don't appreciate you with clothes on, they don't deserve an opportunity to appreciate you with them off.
You rock whatever it is you desire. |

I agree, it's out of order casting judgement on a person's choices whether it's 'just' for a social coffee or not.
I do love to have fun with what I wear if it's meeting with a friend I've already broken the ice with, but it's MY kink that I enjoy (with their agreement) and not done on demand or expectation |
