Are you a wake-up by alarm kind of person?
Or woken by the light?
Or by a pin drop!
Lately, for me, its been my new kitten looking for food, playtime or cuddles. My sleep is wrecked |

Internal alarm clock. Unless I have to be up at a specific time and even then I'll usually wake a few minutes before my alarm goes off. Unless of course, I had something super important on, then I'd sleep right through, like a dope !! |

The origin of the banshee myth I suspect "
Unquestionably!
We fad a wooded area on part of our farm, and if you were out working late you'd often hear them. Freaky stuff.
Barn owls are cuntish like that as well. |

Bizarrely I heard more foxes screaming when living in London than I do in the sticks! |

It depends… alarm sometimes if I have to work early though I’m usually awake few times a night (too hot too cold nightmares weak bladder lol) so I keep checking clock to see how much time I have left to sleep
if I can sleep in I’m usually awake bright and early |

Is there more noise competition in the cities than out in the country. Less traffic, hum of motors and whatever else to compete with |

Well that would drown them out then! Although where we lived was pretty quiet at night by London standards |

There used to be plenty of them in Leitrim back in the day. It's a long time since I lived there though.
Mind you, I was at a wake once and a kettle sitting on a range started singing as it was coming to the boil. People were dropping to their knees all over the house. Turned out not to be the greatest oral orgy of all time, but rather the rosary as they all claimed it was the banshee. Funniest thing I ever saw. |

Newry Down |
Almost every morning I am literally up at the crack of dawn, because I have always gone to bed very early, sometimes as early as 7pm.
On occasional days, I have a day off and lie in bed until I choose to arise, which can be as late as noon.
Being in bed is the most important part of my life, by a long chalk; whether sleeping or otherwise! |

Somewhere in Co. Down |
I'm always awake early. My alarm has only woken me twice so far in my life. My sleep pattern has gone downhill the last while though for some reason. But ye I wake early let the dogs out then sometimes go back for a nap for a while on my days off. |

Since having children, I'm a very light sleeper .
I'll usually wake just before any alarm clock too...though I'll still always set it, just in case.
Always smile when himself falls asleep within seconds of hitting the pillow, snoring into my ears while I lie there counting sheep... |
