"How do you search Northern Ireland on here. Say like if you wanted to pick Enniskillen?
You can't search by county. It can be done by distance but even then half the results are in Liverpool.
"
Down here you can search by county....silly if you cant do that in The UK all the same |

Haven't used the search facility in years but just had a look now. You have to enter your town and then a search radius. 20-40 mile radius is mostly NI but a 50 mile radius and half are in Scotland. |

You need to change your location to UK first, then search by city name or postcode. The Ireland/UK/NI search setup is really frustrating on here.
But Co. Down is a big place - you might want to be more specific. |

There is a technique to searching for County Down.
I switch quite frequently between Ireland, that is the Republic of Ireland, which can only be searched by county, and the UK.
Change your country to UK, then ouch a town that is central to County Down, for example Downpatrick, then vary the mile upwards from 10 miles progressively until you get the number of results you require, to satisfy your requirements.
If you don't want to specify a town, you can specify a postcode: central Belfast is BT1 and then increase the miles.
In rural areas the number of hits within 10 miles will be much lower than in a city.
Also try to be specific about what you want: for example a non-smoking FM couple who are interested in DP.
In summation the UK, which includes NI is accessed by a completely different method than Eire, which uses counties, a method I personally don't like.
To get around the county issue some fabbers specify unusual addresses on their profiled in order to be picked up by the search algorithm, if there is one, in two different areas.
You just need to experiment to learn the quirks, that exist within every system.
I won't wish you good luck, because your search success depends on your skill, not your luck! |
