Are you happy with the transfer window ? Are you happy how your team is preforming do you think your team should be doing better or have you any young players that you think that are with your team that will be the next superstar it doesn’t matter what team you support anywhere on the planet and all are welcome too give their input |

"I also like Neto at wolves "
Cracking player. Just read this evening that Forest have signed Morgan Gibbs White for 45 million
They are going mental in the transfer market. It’s ballsy but kudos. If it works, the payoff of staying in the league is huge. I mean look at Norwich, come up every year, spend nothing, go back down.
If this don’t work for forest though, they be in trouble if they get relegated |

Just back from Eamon Deacy Park...
We got beaten by Bray.
Not a good result if we want to go up.
And still no clock or scoreboard after the Comer Brothers take over.
And they are Billionaires.
Not great |

"Support your local team and make Irish soccer great..
Instead of pumping time money and e energy into the English game "
So would you apply the same principles to everything in your life ?
Would you stop watching say your favourite Netflix show, cancel your sub and commit to watching only Irish stuff on RTE because the right thing to do is support local ?
Of course you wouldn’t - it’s an inferior product so why do you think the punter would think any different when it comes to sport. Just saying. |

Everyone is someone on the food chain though. Last night , Rovers got pumped by the Hungarian crowd. Heard the commentator say Ferencvaros had a new 2 million pound striker. He acted it. Light years away from league of Ireland team paying 2 million on a player. League one clubs in England are spending 2 million on players. Not a slight on the LOI, just where it’s at. Handing fellas one year contracts ain’t helping them though. |

I am a huge LOI fan and follow football from all over the world. The reason I follow the LOI and my team and enjoy it is, that I am under no illusion of where it sits in the greater scheme of things. Being a fan in Ireland and attending games is not for all. I love it. I don't get into debates about the standard. It is what it is and certainly is not what it gets compared to most. I enjoy the night out. Before Fab it was my only night I ever had out in a social environment
Enjoy all football. Support whoever and whatever makes you happy.....steer clear of Shamrock Rovers though |

That’s exactly why I started this thread so people that love football can interact with each other regardless of who they follow.the season is only just under way and let’s enjoy and post first division is coming too a close soon and hopefully Colin gets us up but it won’t be the end of the world if he doesn’t |

I never said don't support teams from abroad.
But I do find it strange that so called Irish football fans would completely write off the Irish league and proudly proclaim that they would never watch "that shite" and spend absolute fortunes travelling to see games in England. At a time when Irish football needs all the financial support it can get and when young Irish footballers need encouragement and local support to stay in the game it only seems right that any decent supporter would give their encouragement and support. This is even more important now as the age
before a player can go to England has risen to 18. Its great to see large crowds attending Galway Utd games even though we are in the lower league. Seeing kids attending these games gives encouragement to them and its great that they have local heroes that they can watch and actually meet and talk to.
This is where our future heroes and talented players are born and bred.
I find it idiotic and ignorant to dismiss our local leagues as an inferior product and small-minded in the extreme. A lot of English people living here are regulars at Galway Utd and at L.O.I games. Real Fans that realise every footballer and sports person starts at the first rung of the ladder.. and the same type of supporter that attends the lower leagues in England as well as the top notch professional teams.
A Friday night can be well started with a bite to eat a nip up to support the local team and a few pints or bringing the kids/nephews/nieces etc up to see the local lads battle it out.
Local heroes for local people.
Go figure |

You still haven’t answered my original question. Will you give up and forego your favourite American / British show on Netflix to support local Irish drama on RTE ? You probably won’t. Why ? It’s an inferior product. You can get butt hurt and call me an idiot for saying that - but it’s true. Budget is less, production is of a far less quality as is the acting. That’s not opinion, that’s factual.
I’ve never slagged the LOI off . I don’t go to games in England anyway. I follow a premier league team though.
My point was don’t take a pop at people who don’t wish to watch an inferior product ( it is, facts don’t care about your feelings ) when in actuality, in other areas of your life you are probably doing the exact same thing.

Should of signed Bellingham. City win the league and improve the squad. Massively. Liverpool sorta standing still. Not at all sure about Nunez. And even if he is the business - they need more. |

Bohs fan here. Attend home games regularly. It's important we bring the younger generation with us and have them go and watch their local clubs play. Kills me to say it but Rovers will win the league.
I've always enjoyed watching Tottenham. Never been over to see them though. I think they will do well this year but City will to lift the league trophy. |

"Working all day some big results today lads I know it’s early doors but they all count .city game meant too be cracker can’t wait for MOD"
Leeds have made a good start. Thought Marsh was out of his depth when he got the gig but really seems to be putting his own stamp on it now. |

Not so handynever turned up, but it was nice to see man untied fans with a smile...lol"
Don’t get me wrong I love football and they have too be up there with some off the best teams I’ve seen since the premier league started for the last couple off years but I think they made a big mistake not going all out too strengthen their midfield and mane going what a player |
