The West

Are you going form Dublin?...I'd go north to Belfast and across the Antrim/Derry coastline, Dark Hedges, Ballycastle, Carricka reedy bridge, Bushmills, Giants Causeway, Port Stewart, Portrush, Derry City and into Donegal through Innishowen peninsula, Gore, Slieve League cliffs, Killybegs!

It's a great drive!

"Thinking of starting Donegal and down along the west coast "

Great idea. Brilliant scenery. You don't need to go to Cork at all

I agree, NI has some fantastic coastline and lovely beaches...Benone beach with just one of them among other few, and a caravan site just up the road.

Have a lovely time.

WildAtlanticWay. Tbh not many campers this year compared to the previous 2yrs.

Have a lovely spot you should visit & camp this time of year.

Only 5 nights?? Less is more. You could do the Antrim Coast its spectacular and then get a ferry over to the Innishowen Peninsula in Donegal. Taking in Rathlin island and Malin Head along the way. Malin Head is the most northerly part of Ireland and Rathlin is spectacular and close to Scotland .Its all beautiful costal scenery.. the rope bridge..giants causeway ..game of thrones film sites(N.Ire side) and huge long empty sandy beaches in Donegal.. plenty driving there but more importantly plenty relaxing countryside too.

Whats story with parking for night. Do people book campsites or just park up in carparks etc?
