Don't ever bother to give advice to anyone; if they are really interested in solving an issue in their lives, then they will strive to acquire the information to the level (of their own ability) that will suit them.
If you give advice to the overwhelming majority of people, from my experience they will never followthru to enacting a solution.
They like to whinge about the issue, listen to various offerings, but then simply continue in their old ways.
