East / North, Cork

(Poss spoilers for the 1st episode only)

Watched no1. Didn't feel compelled to watch no2 yet. It feels like an adaptation that is very constrained by source material that is much more detailed. Like it introduces characters that we are supposed to feel a connection to when they haven't really been developed properly. Also it kinda stinks that we we have 1 single famous actor that is killed off in the first episode which is a cheap trick. Might risk another if there is nothing on with low expectations.

Not my cup of tea usually, but it is so well made and has decent acting.

Every episode is good and bringing something new.

The character gets killed off, not the actor. The plot moves along.

Was chatting to my eldest daughter's step dad this morning about it. He watched the first three episodes of it. They bulked out the plot with some of it but he says it's very faithful to the graphic novels so far right down to the frames in the books being replicated. He's enjoying it a lot but he is a massive fan of the original work.
