I speak my mind when I think its appropriate.
I'd like to think I'm a good judge of that, I'm sure some people would disagree.
I also think there is a big difference between being able to speak your mind and being a dick that alot of people who proclaim to always speak their mind miss |

Everyone’s different |

Like I said there are times its appropriate and times it isn't. There are also times people are just rude under the guise of speaking their mind |

Telling everyone that you always speak your mind or that this is who you are and others have to accept that is belligerence at its best. |

" I know some people who literally speak their mind in any situation even though it might cause a scene or confrontation, basically they think it so they say it. I know others who would never fully speak their mind and they’d tell u that incase it caused an argument etc |

I have a policy of introducing the elephant in the room if an issue arises. I rarely speak my mind, especially in frustration and especially not when dealing with a tricky customer. |

Publicly absolutely I will speak my mind
Online to an extent often more reserved because the context can be hard to put across and people can’t always read things how you write them, if that makes sense.. |

I am a clear communicator and not afraid to offer my opinion. I don't confuse this with being tactless or deliberately cuntish under the guise of honesty. |

People who speak their minds clearly are a joy.
People who speak every single thought that enters their head are a nightmare.
If someone has a thought out opinion on an issue I have no problem hearing it, even if I disagree with it.
Normal people though don't have to have a thought out opinion on every single issue that ever arises. If they do, they run the risk of quickly moving into the realms of just being annoying.

It depends on whether it will help to achieve the best outcome. There is usually more than one way to skin a cat and I've found that reacting immediately from a place of anger, usually doesn't help to achieve the most favourable outcome. |

I think that there are occasions and instances which call for straight talking. An example is holding someone to account for underperforming at work or discriminatory behaviour .
That’s quite different to being an insensitive Asshole and saying ‘I say it like it is’. Hurting someone’s feelings when there is no purpose to the feedback is not something to be proud of. |

"I try to be upfront and honest but also cognisant to deliver the truth in a compassionate way. "
This would be how I am, people that know me well would agree if I am speaking some truths I do it generally for the right reasons.
I have matured enough not to reply to criticism with criticism also.

When someone tells me they speak their mind I always ask for their bank account number ,The don't speak their mind then
It can be a metaphor for "I don't care what you think here is my opinion "
It's not that I don't like confrontation but why upset people
And lastly we would you let someone in to your mind that's more intimate and personal than letting someone in to your knickers
I really do think to much don't i |

"Where does "speaking your mind" cross into "I'll say something to just be a prick"?"
Not really sure are you asking yourself that or is it for the people of fab ? |

I guess it's about motivation. If you're trying to piss someone off who doesn't deserve it then you're being a prick. If you have higher intentions then you aren't. |

For the people of fab. If I want to be a prick I just be a prick (but only to people that deserve it) |
