Wild swimming can be dangerous; a lot if people are caught unawares by the low temperature of the water, tides, undercurrents, sloping beaches, etc.
I was at the Forty Foot in Sandycove/Glasthule last Sunday morning: not for the faint-hearted, but probably safer than true wild swimming.
The thermal shock is what gets the inexperienced. |
