We're heading to Belfast soon for the first time and will be out for drinks in the City centre on the Friday and Saturday night. We're looking for a bar (or bars) with a good atmosphere and a DJ but not full of youngsters, so a mix of all ages. Many thanks for any recommendations

Thanks for the quick response! Do they have good music and a dance floor?

McHughs bar has an 80's night on Saturday, called vice city. Music is class.

Been to muriels a few times, great bar to start in, the cocktails are unreal. Pretty sure there is no dancefloor but we have always stayed on the ground floor.

Muriel’s is a great bar with over 100 different gins and plenty of cocktails, good to start though no dance floor. Spaniard is also great and around Cathedral Quarter. Duke of York and harp bar are pretty good with live music. Saturday afternoon can be spent in the TipsyBird which always has great live music and you can have a bit of a dance staying the evening or move on to McHughes for a proper dance. There are quite a few really good spots. Hope you have a great time

City Centre, Dublin

Yup you can’t go wrong in the Cathedral Quarter

Kelly’s and Whytes Tavern are worth a shot as well
