"Don’t rub your erm, eyes, after chopping chillies and garlic for your dinner "
Not to poke holes but that’s not really a life hack that’s just common sense. Wearing gloves while doing the chopping would have been a hack |

Boots in the UK used to sell an ear cleanser that was a syringe that you filled with Luke warm soapy water and flushed the ear; I have used it for years and it works.
It is made by health enterprises in the USA and the websites are www.healthenterprises.com
Or info@ ditto.
The nozzle that you place into the ear is exceptionally soft and has multiple nozzles.
I use ear plugs every day and they push wax into the ear, sometimes to the point that I am deaf.
Try it. It is very safe and very effective. The wax drops tend to increase wax production, I have been told, whereas this product does not!
Occasionally I have been able to flush out wax the size of a pea, but my problem is not on the same scale as Father Jack's problem in Father Ted from 1996!
Let us know how you get on |

The most effective topical cream to treat Athlete's Foot is, or was until recently, unavailable in the UK and Ireland.
Buy mail order from USA. I cannot recall the chemical in the cream nor the most common brand containing the active ingredient, but Google should provide the answer.
Rotating the use of different creams is also effective; I find that AF is almost impossible to shift completely; it can only be managed.
There is an injection available from the GP, but I personally would not want take that route! |

Apologies the WD-40 is for the door handles. Spray it on a cloth and rub it on |

WD-40 was originally designed as a water repellent for use in electrical equipment, but using it on a window?!!!
It might work, but it is going to leave an awful mess on the roof of the car, as wind and rain drive it rearwards!
I am sceptical.... |

A very high proportion of mattresses are now single sided, which means they can only he rotated and not flipped to extend their life.
If you buy a mattress topper, flip the mattress, and place the topper on the base, which is now the top. Your mattress will laat for years longer than the mattress makers intended, when they started supplying single sided mattress.
Years ago, in 1979, I bought a really high quality double sided mattress; it lasted for 38 years before it completely lost its will to live! |

Use descaler (Astonish is the brand I have I think) to clean and maintain the inside of your shower doors or panels, if you live in a hard water area you’ll know what I’m taking about….. |

Get Dents Out of Wood
Simply soak a washcloth in water and ring it out a bit so it’s not sopping wet. Put the damp washcloth on the affected area. The water will wick through the wood, and that’s fine. Now, with your iron on its highest setting, place it on the damp washcloth over the affected area, and make small movements back and forth and in circles. Press down firmly and continue until your washcloth is dry. It won’t take long to evaporate. At this point, the wood fibers are absorbing the water and should expand back to where they were originally. Continue this process and repeat by adding more water until the dents rise up to be flush with the rest of the material. |

When I was unemployed for a time, several years ago, I was obliged to apply for jobs in order to continue to be eligible for state benefits;
Occasionally I would be called to interviews for jobs that I did not actually want, and in order to ensure that I would fail the interview I would deliberately insult the interviewer, but in a very subtle way!
One interviewer, whom I instantly recognised as a domineering bully, was handed the research I had done for the job and I suggested that even SHE might learn something from it. I was escorted from the office to the front door.
At another interview, I informed the two young interviewers that if they had consumed less booze the night before interviews;they were both hung over and under the weather, they might eventually progress to a real job within the company-going on buying trips to China! I totally humiliated them; I didn't want the job because it was a zero hours contract with crap cobditions!
I could go on! |

If your boss or manager confides in you that he came from an abusive family background, start updating your CV and apply for as many jobs as soon as possible;
an abusive childhood family is the ideal formative environment for the dark Triad of:
Machiavellism
Psychopathy
And Narcissism. |
