Two things spring to mind
Death notices after the news on Galway bay fm . Just a bit miserable and seems odd for the entire county to find out that some random bloke’s family want flowers only . Can interested people not just go on Rip.ie?
Also the size of people’s estates after death being published in the Irish times . Why does the nation need to know that some businessman in Offaly left a million ? |

Not everyone has access to the Internet, the death notices on local radio reach a lot more people than rip.ie does especially our older more isolated community. |

People walking around supermarkets hands free on there phones! I've always found that a little bit weird if I'm honest as it just looks and sounds like the person is walking around chatting to themselves with there headphones in lol |

97 per cent have . It’s not as convoluted as bank apps with codes etc it’s a straightforward website . Email has been In use for a minimum of 27 years at this stage . I think it’s just one of those ‘we have always done it this way’ and a uniquely Irish pastime |

Think its more of a community thing to be honest.Local radio filled the void and they know everyone expects to hear the deaths at the same time everyday
I think its on a lot of local stations and not just Galway |

My parents haven't email and no interest in it, plenty others same. There is a large percentage of elderly people living quite isolated on our community who because of lack of public transport are isolated with no family and noone to help them with Internet access. Where my parents live the internet is shocking and they aren't isolated. And so what if its what we have done, or the way we do things |

"I find it weird that everyone using card now instead of cash? Seriously it like people want banks to have all the control, cash is king. Sorry I just find it weird"
Genuine question.....how do you book a hotel,a car,a concert ticket,a cinema ticket,a flight without using a card
How do the banks take all the control |

The pervasive interest in football in Ireland, particularly the fanatical support for soccer teams from large English cities.
Manchester United, in my opinion, is a business the principal injective is maximising shareholder wealth, yet people walk around in Ireland with stickers professing their support for a business that does not give a damn about them.
I am baffled by this type if behaviour.
The GAA is also going down the business/profit route: tickets for the AllIreland final, in Croke Park, were a mind-blowing ninety Euro
And for the women's final, 45 Euro. |

"Taking a phone call in a busy space and talking loudly. No one needs or wants to hear your convo. "
This absolutely, I don't understand why people don't leave the company they are in to take a call. Or just not take the call. |

It is a total disregard for others in that space. It completely fucks my train of thought when I'm working and I can hear Charles McCunt on the phone.
Don't get me started on a cafe or restaurant. Move away from people if you really have to take the call |

It's probably not a case of everyone else finding it normal as it thankfully quite niche, but the whole daddy/baby girl thing is sick AF in my opinion.
You're basically fantasising about either being a paedo, or his victim. |

The thought of being married to someone, in a church, and for life has always baffled me.
I have been married, nor engaged to be married nor ever came close to this.
From an extremely young age, I knew it was not for me, and that I preferred a less formal modus vivendi.

The Irish drinking culture - don't you dare not drink and spoil the fun...pet hate of mine when people just cannot take no for an answer... sounds familiar though, doesn't it? |

Totally disagree with your last line.

Remembering names at socials
Most people there have 3 names...fab name ,kik name ,real name and it confuses the hell out of my brain
I've apologised to so many people for not remembering their details or their fab name but remember certain photo's on their profile cause thats the weird way my head works

Maybe do a little research into it before passing judgement. Knowledge is power. |

I bet Joseph spiked her drink, gave her one and played dumb!!?? "
The immaculate conception is not Mary getting pregnant with Jesus, it's her mother's pregnancy with Mary. |

Hu? Now I'm lost completely. Is there another story bit I don't know.
Anyhow I think the much more possible scenario is that Marie had extramarital sex and got pregnant. How she got away with 'immaculate conception' is the big miracle to me. |

There are two things related to Mary.
1) The virgin birth, which relates to her pregnancy with Jesus
2) The immaculate conception, which relates to her mother's pregnancy.
Now, to add to the confusion, there's no suggestion that there was no riiidin involved in her own conception and birth, just that the riiidin in that case didn't involve "original sin". There's a prayer that starts with "O Mary conceived without sin.." and that event is the immaculate conception, not when Jesus was conceived, which by pure chance happened to be wryly sin as well, although there was no funny business either according to the lads. |

From a very early age it baffled me that the vast majority believed in a deity, aka God.
The thought that someone or something up there sent down his son, to be born of a virgin, a mere 2000 years ago always struck me as utter nonsense.
The walk to wall abuse scandals within the Roman Catholic church and other organised religions has belatedly brought a lot of people to their senses.
There is no afterlife; we are essentially apes who through a process of evolutionary development can cogitate to an extent! |

To a lot of people watching their sports team can give them an hour or two of happiness a week before it’s back to the 9-5 and the stresses of life, it’s a escape from reality that a lot of people need. |
