BRIEF ENCOUNTERS IS A 4,000 SQ FT PLAY SPACE IN CORK CITY FOR GAY, BI AND HETRO, SINGLES, COUPLES, GROUPS MALE AND FEMALE. IT HAS 2 CINEMAS, PRIVATE BOOTHS, GLORYHOLES, SLING ROOM, GROUP FUN ROOMS, ADULT STORE, LOCKERS AND A 2000 SQ FT LUXURIOUS LOUNGE TO CHILL IN. ALL DAY PASS 15 EURO. COME AND GO AS YOU PLEASE. WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK.
Barry has been a few times, good fun in there, shop just inside door, really big lounge but could do with more rooms.

There's an o'connell st in Blackpool.
Connell st where brief encounters is though is behind the bus station if coming over Brian Boru bridge.
It is the street between clontarf street and parnell place . |

This is the first time I am hearing good things about the place on the forums .. there were a lot of negative comments about desperate men climbing over the doors and making couples very uncomfortable... Just saying .. I have no experience with this place |

Been there twice,not seen that.
If I did, I'd knock him off the wall/chair he was standing on. No need for that carry on
Usually once guys are told to go away,they do.

Could definitely use a ladies touch especially the bathroom, fantastic lounge there, but the difficulty seems to be that if they did some refurb they would charge more, dublin club's are 20 to 30 euro pp.. Is there enough demand for something similar in Cork?
Really crying out for makeover but for 15 euros currently per day come and go as you please, we think that's fair.
Any couples interested in getting a forum started for couples and brief meets maybe?
With RVC closed next door(greatly missed) this could be all we have in Cork for a while to come sadly |

It's a sex cinema for the want of another word to describe it, equivalent of saunas in Dublin but smaller scale, and needs that woman's touch, it has a big lounge, play rooms with swing, a shop and two good sized cinemas. Male and female welcome there. Only one in Cork now sadly |

That's exactly what we would love to have, a couples night out.. RVC is terribly missed down here.Would any couples be interested in maybe creating a private forum on social get togethers and nights in brief encounters? Definitely something we would be interested in if other couples are? Too many males (no disrespect) but couples like their socials also.. We went to O Dwyers for last RVC, such a groovy bar and Chambers across the road |

It's needs refurbishing nothing too expensive..paintings decor etc.Also a bouncer on the door only allowing dress code.guys with t shirts grubby clothes and wearing crocks etc not allowed in..
It has potential being first of its type in the country. |

100 percent agree, but would we be willing to pay the extra? Would mean a downturn in footfall hiring security... Aha... Go fund me page peeps..  seriously though the only venue in Cork now and the wider munster region, a lot of events now are travelling and hotel expenses.. We badly need this place to stay open... We're donating 1euro for toilet roll.. The double ply. |

It seems to be open 7 days a week so how they manage to deep clean outside of those days is beyond us.. The loft was closed Mon and Tuesday every week to provide adequate maintenance.
Of interest would be possibly 1 night every second weekend decimated to couples from let's say 7 to 12 on a weekend night. How that would fair out to regulars would be something that the management would need to address because it's not going to continue very long functioning at present levels.
We would be only to happy to pay the extra little bit to have a couples social in there every so often and not rely on having to travel up and down the country when we have a perfectly good venue in our own town.. |

We haven't heard of any trouble in there but that's not to say there are the regular lurkers about, no best time really.
Going from another we page where you can post directly on brief encounters and the comings and goings, seems after 5 is busy and evenings on weekends. Probably when all the offices close.
They do have lockable lockers there which helps. But the bathroom badly needs updating to cater for both male and female.
A couples event would be fantastic on October Bank Holiday weekend if anyone knew the owners. 1 night 6 to close anyone agree or suggest anything?

I heard previously the owners wasn't too bothered about arranging such nights but you never know.
If the numbers were there to cover the loss of the normal footfall that night, can't see why they wouldn't try it |

Looks to me as if there's loads of interest in this place as it's featuring on 3 posts on here with 72 replies to this one alone . I'm not sure it the owners or operators are aware of this interest as they may not but fabbers or on here . That's the first discussion that needs to be had if it's to stay open or hopefully improve . We had somewhere more upmarket in limerick but that closed down . Some of the regulars may be quite happy going in there watching a blue film , getting relief from another regular and going home happy all for 15 euro . Management may be happy with that. from what I see also alot on here especially couples including ourselves would like a more upmarket venue available with more upmarket clients. I know others host meets for fabbers in cork and the general Munster area but that don't look to be enough. Is there anyone on here that knows the management there that would be willing to see their views on having a fab event there once or twice a month and then judge the interest in it . Looking forward to replies or feedback |

Herd great things about the venue but really and truly ya have to organise your own kik group to avoid disapointment on the day/night your going..id be up for going but busy with plans for the next few weekends...how about a fancy dress party there over the haloween weekend..can easly be anonymous if nervous about discression |

I assume the camera is for security reasons..eg to identify anyone involved in unwanted misconduct. But would have to blur out anyone else. They would not risk destroying there own buisness by advertising who attended. |

"I assume the camera is for security reasons..eg to identify anyone involved in unwanted misconduct. But would have to blur out anyone else. They would not risk destroying there own buisness by advertising who attended. cameras have always been there as far as I’m aware for this reason and this reason alone "
You never know whi has access to cameras..as long as your not famous or wealthy you should be OK!!! |

Heading to brief encounters on either Friday 30th sept or Saturday 01st oct. My play partner is quite submissive and is keen to try the gloryhole there.
However, the reviews seem to be a little mixed and I don’t want her being in a hostile or unwelcome atmosphere.
Any thoughts, comments, feedback would be appreciated… |

Good decision, would’ve been a disappointing waste of €30. I think the owners are missing so many tricks with that place, if they enticed couples and filtered the weirdos it could be both a nice little earner for the owners and a great place for couples and singles to play |

The owners are missing a lot of opportunities. If the ladies were allowed in free and couples got in for the price of a single it could be quite good. In fairness, most of the time "No" means "No" is respected. Would be very interested in joining a mixed group sometime but that will probably when air traffic control have a flying pigs section! |
