Cap d’Agde, France

Making our annual trip home to Ireland for 3 weeks in September.

Booked our flights from our Cap d’Agde home in France but we’re then flummoxed by Car hire prices.

Last year we paid 500 euros for 3 weeks, 2 years before we paid 350, but this year the least we’ve found is 1500 euros.

Any suggestions folks or do any of you want to rent us a car for 600+

Kerry and Dublin

I heard something about an app called fleet the other day. It's like Airbnb but for car rental.

I've no idea how it works but might be worth a look.

Try kayak.ie as always cheaper as it searches multiple sites alternatively steal one the fine is likely less than rental

West Dublin

Using a comparison site, Travel supermarket, it directed me to Gotrentalcarsdotcom ( type in .com ). For the 3rd September to the 17th, it is 794 pounds for a Ka or 850 pounds for a VW Polo.

Yeah that’s very economical

Hire a van then go spend money on a mattress for a couple of weeks, having to dispose of it then before leaving van back .

on the hill NordWest of

Check out: https://www.jointhefleet.com/

It's a platform to hire private cars. Insurance is sorted/covered by the 'Fleet'. As someone mentioned further up it's an Airbnb approach to car rental.
