Are you sure it's the lol/lmao that these people are talking about? While I don't expect everyone on here to be a literary genius, I get frustrated and often ignore messages that are either all in text speak or are so poorly written that it's not really clear what the author is trying to say.

I am not talking about a persons academic qualifications and what spelling, punctuation or grammar mistakes a person makes.

I mn wn peepsl jst not mk ne frt wat svr t uz nyting dat Rezmbells d Ngalesh wot mst f uz spake evryday. N it mks itall mch hhdr t Reid .

I just think if someone has an opinion, witty comment, and especially a chat up line they should at least be as clear as possible.

Okay bring it on

we have blocked a couple because of this.

After nicely asking them what they meant by a completely unreadable sentence, they replied by copy-pasting the exact same message again and then we felt that politeness had no place in the conversation.

I mean, we can reread, we didn't mishear them, they weren't making any sense at all.

Yes, sometimes with couples I find it is just pure laziness, they cant even be bothered to type a sentence so condense as much as possible into bloody text speak, I use lol as much as the next person, but I also like to make sure that what I am writing is easy enough to understand, it doesn't take that much effort in my opinion.
