Lying about their age
Jump to: Newest in thread
Do couples who lie about their age think other couples are blind or stupid. The minute you see them you know they are not the age they claim to be definitely 8 or 10 years older . Just puts us right off. We do meet couples who are older than us and have had great nights with them . But if we can't trust you about your age what else can't we trust you about. |

I've had this a few times recently, but from females. I'm always wary of those profiles who are x9 (39, 49...) and don't want to tip over into the next age bracket. |

Lol I'll be tipping into the next bracket next year and it doesn't bother me a bit.
But yes there are plenty who do lie about their age .
Some get start new profiles and become even younger on their new ones.

I wouldn't condemn anyone for presenting themselves in the most favourable light; there is no legal or ethical obligation on anyone on this or any other site to tell the whole truth, every time.
Experience would suggest that scepticism is the best policy; if, after having chatted, the facts just don't stack up then it's a simple go or nogo.
What really counts is a person's or a couple's trie traits, attitudes and personality.
Sometimes, if a meet works out well or when a longer term arrangement is made, it will probably just be a matter of having a laugh together and carrying on.
Trust, discretion and good hygiene are more crucial (to me) than chronological age.

"There are people here who were 5 years older than me when I joined 5 years ago. They left and returned rejuvenated and 5 years younger than me.
We are now the same age "
It sounds as if some have been through Doctor Aubrey David Nicholas Jasper de Grey's SENS program: his strategies for engineered negligible senescence; a lifelong maintenance program to lengthen one's healthspan, that focuses on maintaining the length of recipient's telomeres. |

Agree that there's no need for it, especially if you really can't pull it off.
Don't agree with the hyperbolic suggestion that it's a gateway to all sorts of nefarious deeds and actions |

I’m 50 and proud lol I’m doing more and having more fun now than when I was 40 or 30… no reason to lie about age. … it’s a good feeling to be happy with who you are and if the age puts someone off then our paths shouldn’t cross anyway lol |

A little white lie about people's age wouldn't bother us. We've met plenty of people who's ages were not correct on here and they were open about it when we met.
At the end of the day, you're either attracted or you're not! |

The bones of 200 quid on a room for first impressions to be OK this crowd are shitting lies from the start I am saying no straight away |

If you're not sharing face pics, what about a social or coffee meet first? |

I don’t see the point in lying about your age …..
But too many do on here which makes me laugh especially if their pics are 10yrs old ….. just means when you meet, people will have a bad impression of you from the off |
