We’ll be taking a wee weekend break in Donegal early July, hope to do a little travelling and wondering what’s a must see in Donegal probably along the coast .. and where’s good to park up..

Thanks in advance..

I recommend stopping off in Mullaghmore on the way to Donegal. Ye might even get to tan ye're tender bits on Cliffoney beach if the weather is sunny

Donegal coco have erected height restriction barriers at most of their beaches, apparently there have been too many campervans using their facilities waste water toilets, water etc also parking spaces are in demand. You've been warned!

Drive down passed the runway at Donegal International Airport to the Boat Strand There's a sheltered cove that's safe for swimming and Carrickfinn beach is a 5 min walk away. Plenty of space to park but no facilities.

Drift away campers in Donegal are a lovely crowd to deal with. Husband and wife team. All you need is included in the vans when you rent them. Minimum 3 day package.

Portnoo is unreal as is sliabh liag but to be honest that whole county is stunning. So many gems along the way.

Muchros beack on your way to slieve league is beautiful. Check out the secret waterfall on low tide too. Killybegs is good for sea food. Check out McGees in donegal town. They do tailor maid tweet suits. You will look great and getting fitted makes you feel like a king.

Murder hole beach is fantastic. Incredibly beautiful. Be careful at high tide, you can easily get trapped in one section of the beach.

Park up in Malin Head car park.

We spent one night up there in our motor home and there was 2 other campers there..

Absolutely beautiful scenery and a lovely cliff walk that goes on for miles.

Downings vote for me. Rossguill campsite and others really near the murder hole are available. The murder hole has actually propper access now too. Used to be you had to hop a fence and hope there was no bull in the field. Also tide times important for it. But very worth it
