"Dressed orange
What's that?"
A pain in the arse to make as a barman when the pub is really busy
Rub a lemon around the top of a tall glass then run the glass around a bowl of sugar to leave a coating of sugar around the glass
Ice
Club orange
Fresh whipped cream on top
Cocktail sticks with cherries and pieces of orange
Umbrella
Straw
So 80's

Liebfraumilch, Black Tower & Blue Nun ...
The only white wines available in the 80's, not exactly to a connoisseurs taste
Anyone remember 'Michelle' cider in the 90's??? A handy prink before the nightclub! |

"Corona "
I went out the other night and ordered a bottle of Miller - didn't have it, asked for Coors light instead, no go - the alternative was Corona...I said I had enough of Corona to last me a lifetime . It must have become the most unpopular drink of all time!!! |

Corona beer sales fell in the US as people thought there was a link between it and the virus, sales in Ireland grew from pre pandemic numbers, I think people decided to drink it ironically, I guess that’s the difference between us and them, sure fuck it, why not, for the craic….. |

"Are fat frogs still a thing
Completely forgot about them and now I've a serious longing for one!"
They’re still available, not sure if pubs do them, they probably make their own, but they’re definitely available in off licences, in can form. |

Newry Down |
"McArdles"
Actually it was brewed in Dundalk; an uncle of mine used to have a bottle every Saturday night after work; nearly six decades ago.
I think the Dundalk plant closed down a long time ago. |

Holsten Oils (despite my spellchecker trying to change it to Holstein which was sold in UK)
Carlsberg Special Brew.
A cheap night out was often had mixing those two in a pint glass, with few memories of the night, bar a black eye/bloody nose/skanger beside you/monumental hangover in the morning!
Hundhaar Schnapps - came out around same time as Budweiser draft arrived and that combo was a nightmare
Snowball
Ritz
Harvey Wallbanger
Pernod & Black - commonly regarded as a leg opener
Furstenberg - toxic shit!
Satzenbrau - wussy, gut wrenching shite
Harp! Ah Sally I'd fry an egg on ya, you scallywag
Babycham.
Southie n red.
Guinness and black.
Red Witch.
Snakebite.
Rum n black.
Mudslide.
White Russian.
So many I haven't heard being asked for in so long, unless I'm at the bar |

Used to get a drink in clubland (cookstown) it was a pint of Joker. I don't remember what was in it but it tasted like the joker ice lollies. Back in the mid to late 90's it was a fiver a pint which was hellish expensive to a teenager back in those days. |
