If you're going to someone's place to do the naughties or have someone coming over, do you prepare food for them?
Be it some snacks, a full blown meal, some dessert or cake or whatnot.
Obviously it depends a bit on how long you'll be staying and how well you know them, but I'm curious how people think about this topic
I'm somewhat prone to bringing homemade cake, as we often have some at home |

"I've being known to bring a bag of my own turf to a meet if I knew they had open fire.
Coconut oil would fall into the 'food' category wouldn't it "
Could never go to a meet without my trusty jar of coconut oil it turns everything into a delicious snack! |

OMG!! I’d ride ya for a bag of turf.
If I’m ever having a day long meet in my place I cook. With my main man we discuss the meal days in advance as we are both foodies. I also cook if it’s evening time. I was hanging out with a couple of fabbers at the weekend and cooked for them.
And I’m dessert. |

On the rare occasions I’ve gone to someone’s house I’d always bring cake. Because who doesn’t like cake.
If I have company for the evening or overnight I enjoy cooking. But I’d definitely discuss what to cook in advance. No point putting a slab of cow in front of them and being told they’re vegetarian
Getting a good takeaway is also an option, especially if it’s a weekend.
It wouldn’t bother me if they didn’t bring anything as it’s the company is the main thing. Plus my house is full of snacks and chocolate |

There was a lovely young fella who used to take three trains from remote Tralee to visit. He said it was worth the three hours journey as he'd get a Mammy dinner served up to him and a packed lunch and a flask of tea for the way home. The way to a man's heart is keep his balls drained and his belly full |

There's a reason for our name... could it possibly be food?
Always plenty of scrumptiousness in my house, will always bring nibbles for a road trip and would always bring a foodie gift of sorts to an event invited to

Do people you meet get to choose what you're making them then?
TBH I also love to make food for others but my fiancée is next level on that. She can't not have something made when there are people coming over or going to visit others. |

I’ve been known to make a dessert or two when meeting but then it’s usually something that’s been talked about beforehand and I’ve been bad and teased them with what they might get, desserts that is! |

Nah, they have to eat what they're given, or starve...
You're onto a winner - keep her |

Coconut oil and a tea party
And chunks of bacon at 2am
Ah yeah
We always have nibbles and drinks and our guests have brought amazing foodie gifts over the years

"I never like to go empty handed! Should it only be a bunch or flowers a coffee or packet of chocolate digestives "
My Father used to say to me when you are visiting someone never go with one hand longer than the other. |

The Aul bags of turf are becoming hard to get these days, could sell them for a fortune. |
