Me and my husband will be spending a few days riding around Ireland in June and then attending the Killarney Bikefest.
Just wondering if anyone else was going that might like to meet up for a few drinks or more!
Mainly looking for other couples, but happy to hear from anyone xx |

Yep, we never miss bike fest. The best weekend of the year in Ireland. The atmosphere and crowd are always 100% top class.
Staying Saturday night and Sunday night in the Europe Hotel so looking forward to a great weekend. |

Lol. It's a celebration of a number of things for us so we decided to treat ourselves. Its definitely not a regular thing but yeah, others have told us we wont want to leave the hotel. But we know bike fest always delivers and we ain't missing it. It's the only thing we look forward to every year that we 100% go to |

Bank Holiday weekend in Killarney is always expensive
Look for B&B in Fossa, Beaufort or a few miles outside the town
You could also try Killorglin, there is an Arts Festival there that weekend which is also good craic |

I'll be there the weekend, always great rides out exploring the area. Normally camp out on the grass verge opposite the main hotel. Going down via Dublin but returning up the west coast and returning via Sligo and making a road trip if it. Been about 4 times in the past and always a great weekend |

Only place you'll find now, even campsites are mostly filled by now too, is along the grass verges and in middle of roundabout...I kid you not. Bring your tent or van. |

"Were going the the day van so we have somewhere to stay so not bringing bikes but feck it, be a good weekend anyway"
That's a good option, thought of that myself but as I'll be alone exploring on the bike is handier. If that changes I may take the stealth van. |

Not long now. Plans have now changed and going away camping with couple friends this weekend instead but convinced them we'll pop in on the Friday before heading up west coast.
Enjoy yourselves which ever days you're there. |

"Guys during the day, is it better to head off to Inch Beach or Rossbeigh Stand for a bit of sunbathing?"
Rossbeigh is nearest, you have to park the bike on prom and walk down to the beach or go to the back beach and walk to the dunes
Inch, slightly further away, you can drive the beach and pick a sun spot, Inch would be more suitable for nude/play as it is much longer
Both have Coffee Shops/food |

"I’m planning on driving to Killarney soon
Where’s the craic at "
Good atmosphere at the Bikefest, just a pity about the rain. If you are in town later, your really busy spots will be Reidys and the Grand, so probably best to go there early if you are planning to do so. Also traffic is heavy, so give yourself extra time. |

"Very expensive this sadly our last we think. And swingers don't meet at it "
I'm not surprised to be honest, I live nearby and the traffic back to Killarney was insane. I thought someone would meet up, considering the comments on this thread. All huff and no puff as they say |

Been avoiding the bikefest for a good few years now. The location isn't fit for the amount of people. Also not a fan of the exclusive Harley Davidson deal that the organisers have, they should just rename it to Harley fest and be done with it |

Some swingers do meet, but seems prearranged with ones they already know. No one in the Kik group were interested in meeting up after the first few days of hype and it soon died out. Had a friend join me for the weekend so I only visited Friday for the bikes and we quickly went off up the west coast to Donegal and found a quiet beach where weather was great. Think we timed it well. First time I've not stayed the whole time. |

"Was there Friday and then headed off up to Donegal to the Rory Gallagher festival, the weather was great up there and not a rip off"
We went up to Donegal too. Saturday/ Sunday weather was roasting, Monday was cloudy but some sun. Skinny dipping and other dipping outside lol. |
