I don't remember songs in the car....I know he had an 8 track player and can vaguely remember John Denver

Just bought my daughter her first car and drove home with her....tried to change her radio station..got my hand slapped as she said ...her car ..her music

I've used that excuse for years for listening to Q102 while driving with her in it

"A lecture

Deservedly or not?"

I was being facetious, most likely it was my father rabbiting on, or worse, a hurling match on the radio

Whatever the mw radio was able to pick up. No cassettes or 8 tracks. First car I remember was a Mk1 Cortina and not even sure it had a radio.

I can't recall there ever being any music in the car.

That changed when I bought myself one of those history changing walkmans, gosh I felt so cool walking around the village with the headphones on.

Too many of us children fighting, bitching and getting car sick

It'd be a question of "who remembered to bring the sick bag?"

Somewhere in Co. Down

I can't actually ever remember listening to anything in particular when in my parents cars .They never really played much music even at home. My dad liked Creedence Clearwater Revival and I can remember him humming away to their songs the odd time when they came on but that's the only time I remember music in the car.

Their relentless criticism of each other, and each other's relatives!

Needless to say they did eventually separate, but never divorced, possibly because the church wanted couples to stay together.
