ye, I only have mild cold like symptoms, that's all. had been away on a group trip for days. I had the proper flu years ago and was way worse. only tough thing with this is staying in. I have symptoms since Sunday but trying too get an answer off HSE, if I do antigen this Sunday and it's negative, am I OK to go.

Damn Sillywrapper this isolation is another week of your life gone, another week you couldn't get on with your life and live it how you want. Should have wrapped yourself better.

Get better soon and yes you're grand by next Sunday if you test negative.

I can tell u one thing. its the first and last time of isolation. have spoke to a few people who have gotten covid 3 times and isolating each time in the space of a few months. one lads workplace told him, its the last time he'll be isolating that they're not putting up with it anymore. some will say they have a cheek saying that but I can see where they're coming from. People missing work right left and centre every few months.

You could argue if one has covid and doesn't isolate and infects more members of the workforce you might end up with a bigger loss or more people out of work. Just a thought....

as far as I can see now alot in the workforce are getting minimal symptoms and could easily go to work. the people I'm on about who have gotten it 3 times are not a tad sick. I don't know how long more the isolation crack will go on for.

Anyone getting let go from their job for following public health guidance would be into winner with an employment tribunal. The company would end up paying a lot more than having them just take the isolation time off.

its isolationg for a week every time is the issue which is a week off work. I could very easily have done no antigen tests and just went too work. I have minor cold like symptoms. the point been made is I don't know how long the isolation crack will continue.

Funny this whole discussion about isolation reminds me of two different people...

One worked as a delivery man, never had covid, had to isolate five different times within a 3-4 months as his track and trace app kept pinging him. His employer threatened him with a sack for poor attendance. Deleted the app - problem solved itself.

Another works for NHS. Never had covid, never worked with patients, isolated 11 times last year with full pay not a problem.

I genuinely really hope you don’t get a bad dose.

It can be a horrid dose for some and I don’t wish it on anyone. One of my best friends 4wk old baby is in hospital with it and isn’t thriving and they are very concerned. I had it a few weeks ago and the medical fall out for me has been horrendous. I’m still struggling.

So I genuinely am not glad to hear you have it. At all.
