Cadbury's Creme Eggs are not as good as they used to be, so I only have one or two each year: the outside layer is thinner and the Creme too sweet.

All of the larger eggs are a rip-off: layers of wasteful plastic packaging

The Ultimate Fruit and Nut Easter Egg is made up of three chocolate egg shells themed to different desserts, which slot within each other – it's like a Russian doll you can eat!

The milk chocolate outer layer is inspired by tiramisu, coated in chopped roasted hazelnuts. Inside this shell is a dark chocolate, black forest gateau egg with bites of sour cherries.

The third and final egg is in the very centre and is made from white chocolate, inspired by panna cotta. This layer is stuffed with dried raspberries and pistachio nuts for added crunch and flavour.

Hotel Chocolat (back when I could afford them). All their chocolate is gorgeous, and definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for'

I usually end up the egg sweeper as I'm the only one who likes the chocolate egg and as long as its chocolate I don't mind the brand
