Insomnia is alright plenty play on view if that's your thing
Kitkat fettish club, 10pm -730pm the next day....insane but worth every minute of it .totally safe no messing
Prepare to que for anything up to 3-4 hours ...wear something kinky
as there is a dress code there...they pick people.out of the queue for there costumes....its Germany people don't care what you look like

As well , as long quing system but meant to.be worth it as well.... will be there in June this year  |

We were dressed in kink fetish gear make up etc in the q. We were picked from the q ..just for that reason alone as most are in vanilla clothes and change in there and of course ...probably as we're super cool sexy fookers too lol
We later discovered that we could of went to the top of the q and showed what we were wearing and we might of gotten in earlier.

We originally booked for a concert (now moved again!). We booked direct with Manchester Airport as cheapest for flights & accommodation area we wanted. We’re staying at Hampton by Hilton East Side. Annoyed concert moved to next year so cancelled that & would have gone for a more central & probably cheaper hotel |

Kitkat is a Berlin institution....I have never been to a club like it. And the music is amazing too. I have been 3 times.....personally I think when there is a specific party like 'Wasteland' or 'GFW' you get better/wilder outfits but honestly any weekend there is going to be a blast.
Its unlikely to be there forever so experience it while you can.
I have been to Insomnia and Avarus too. Insomnia is a very cool venue, more intimate but hit or miss depending on the night/time of year. But with the Kitty your always a guaranteed a good night.
I haven't hit Berghain yet....have heard mixed reports. Amazing techno but more drug orientated....but will have to experience it at some stage! |

Berghain is largely hosting the CTM festival at the end of May. Buy the full week pass for 95 Euros, guaranteed entry.

The best clubs of Berlin are actually outside the A10 ring , usually combined with an overnight stay at the premise.
Insomnia is ok , KiKat , well if you are willing to invest in the waiting time …as others already mention . As an original Berliner, I always go outside the A10 ring , but each to their own

The secret to getting into KitKat is dress appropriately and go early...we were there just before 11pm and waited 10/15 mins...if you are waiting longer there's a little shop that does take out drinks next door.
KitKat is one of the coolest clubs ever...we left at 6am and only because we had to catch a flight..we didn't want to leave

Last time I went to Berghain, I was with a friend of a friend who was on the guestlist so didn't queue at all.
There's no dresscode for Monday night it seems from what I can find online for KitKat Club but will probably wear some kink attire. I'm also going solo |

We’re in Berlin this Wednesday (6th July) through to Friday and flying back on Saturday. Thinking about going to the kitkat club on Friday.
On the kitkat club, We’ve been to Torture Garden in London - is it the same kind of thing? I’ve been trying to work out online about getting in etc and the info is hopeless (I actually learnt more on this thread and on Tripadvisor than anywhere else!). Also, can we just pay on the door?
What else is there to do midweek? Is it like here? All a bit quiet until Friday and Saturday?

You can definitely go and not play. Tbh play isn't in your face it's more of a hedonistic experience. Lots of great scenes to watch and amazing costumes and the music is insane!
Just to note though to get in you have to go straight to the clock room and dress down or you won't be allowed in
