No answer IS an answer, sometimes people are reluctant to give an outright refusal as it can trigger a negative reaction. TBH, one word replies would already have indicated a lack of enthusiasm to me . Don't overthink it, move on to find someone who is genuinely interested in chatting and possibly meeting  |
