i travel all over |
Inspired by a lounge topic and a book I am reading
And very necessary given the bizarre events since March 2020
For me it’s the weekend papers and all the supplements
I would normally pick ones with supplements which transport me somewhere else . Overnight train journeys ? Island highlights ? Yes please |

Beautiful vintage stuff. Clocks, tins, lamps, mirrors, furniture, clothes etc. Being around old things that were loved by their makers and previous owners. Things made in a way that wouldn't be considered efficient these days. Overengineered things, and things made beautiful by design. |

Walking through a supermarket and passing the milk section always brings a wry smile to my face.
I bet the only reason its called 'Almond Milk' is because no-one could say Nut Juice and keep a straight face... |

"The smell of freshly ground coffee first thing in the morning.
The buds beginning to open on the fruit bushes and green leafs emerging"
These
Seeing the sun rise while sitting on my doorstep drinking that coffee
My dog greeting me when I get home, or just back from upstairs

"The smell of fresh cut grass on a sunny day "
This. Just after cutting the grass, sitting on patio in the sun with a homemade beer and the smell of charcoal and whiskey barrel chunks from the smokers with some delightful meat being cooked, with some excellent music playing. That's my kind of heaven |

Newry Down |
Having a shave with a new blade after a hot bath; and then climbing into a warm bed with freshly washed sheets, after a long relaxing walk in a local forest.
Some of the true pleasures in life! |
