East / North, Cork

We booked 10 days in France (Cork carferry) for the whole family a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad I did as the prices have skyrocketed! I guess demand is high. Nearly had a heart attack at the price of the ferry alone.

We were in Lanzarote last November, Portugal last month. Himself has a couple of golf trips abroad next month, I can't really complain after a long weekend in London with my daughters two weeks ago.

Who knows where the world will be by the summer, get living now

Frankly, events are just too unpredictable at present in Europe to consider taking a holiday this year.

I don't want to be away from the island of Ireland if Vladimir Putin takes another irrational action to further destabilise the world, as is his won't.

Bizarrely, we have just started to emerge from the Covid crisis and now the Ukrainian crisis erupts.

Frankly, foreign holidays are for relaxing; but I could not relax on holiday in Europe or even further afield, at present.

My home is not a palace, but I feel settled, safe and secure here; somewhere to put my head down, and enjoy some fun too!

Don't call me Frankly! Lol

Seriously. Am really sorry about Ukraine and am helping. But am definitely going away to the sun sooner than later. It's needed.
