You have to visit the Guinness storehouse the roof top tour of croke park . Check out 14 Henrietta street an old Georgian house done up like the way people use to live there . Ashtown house in the phoenix park and of course the botanic gardens |

If you want to go to kilmainham I'd book your tickets now. The best of the museums is the archaeology museum, it has everything from bog bodies, to gold torcs, viking skeletons, and Egyptian artefacts. Its 3 floors of amazing archeaology, where as the natural history museum is just one room with lots of dead birds, although the remains of the great irish elk on display are impressive. All of them are free too, but I would visit archaeology museum first.
Dont waste your money in Epic, but the jeanie Johnston famine ship is well worth a visit.
St michans cript is very unique also, even has the remains of a crusader falling out of his coffin!
If you do go to the pheonix park be sure to check out the magazine fort, it's pretty cool, but you cannot go inside.

Pretty sure the dead zoo is closed for Renovations. Has been for ages and will be open later this year.
The National museum is brilliant, on Kildare street, bog bodies, so much gold. Bloody brilliant. Collins barracks is unmissable and Trinity is amazing (book of kells etc)
Also check out the Chester. Beatty Library, and Marsh’s Library are both insanely interesting and put the book of kells in context.
Temple Bar is half interesting to walk through but don’t focus your culinary experiences there. Head up to the George’s St, Drury St area where there are a huge range of superb little eateries. Try Amy Austin, Market Bar, 777, Fallon and Byrne to name but a few. Try Grogans Bar and the Bailey for people watching.
If you want a bit of time outside the city but still in walking distance, check out Glasnevin cemetary, followed by the Botanical Garden and finish with amazing Irish fusion Tapas and the best pint of Guinness in Dublin in the GraveDiggers.
Also look at the Iveagh Gardens and Stephens Green.
Dublin is made a lot easier to get around by Luas. It will take you to strolling distance from all the places I mentioned. |

It's a "museum" with no artefacts, and lots of YouTube videos projected on to walls. Its owned by the PR guy from cola so they have bought all their reviews and awards. It's about Irish emigration, and by the 10th room your finding out that some guy who was related to another guys dad, well his mates sisters boyfriend invented the door stop and that person was irish!!
