No face pic, no reply

Everyone is entitled to their own private rules and all that but I see a lot of profiles with zero photos of any description which demand a face pic on the first message in order to even get a response.
Is it just me or is that a bit cheeky? Does it really matter which of the mental or physical aspect of attraction is catered for first? Don't both matter? |

It's not cheeky as it's their profile they can ask for whatever they want on it. Physical attraction is what they want so they want to see a face pic first. It's up to whoever reads it if they decide to actually send it. Personally I wouldn't but that's my choice.
I think it has to be a mixture of both personality and attraction but usually on here personality will win me over first as I tend to chat for a while before I exchange face pics with someone. |

In logical world - yes, it would be cheeky.
But... hear me out:
Men put themselves into that situation.
If blank profiles wouldn't receive hundreds of messages from people who feel entitled to sex. Because its a sex site, obviously and if you're here - you must want to fuck every person who messages.
Then them blank profiles wouldn't feel entitled to ask for face pic first.
It's a filter in itself OP.
A good one too, as people who choose to ignore the preferences or reading a profile itself indicates that a person messaging doesn't really care much for message receivers boundaries.
People forget that they don't have to message someone at all if they don't agree with what they want in their profile. No love loss whatsoever.
Some do still decide to message to give off about how unfair that person is.

Personally I get it. I almost always send a face pic when I'm messaging someone new, I've no prob at all with that, happy to do it however I don't display public pics. Ive nothing to hide really but it makes me uncomfortable. For me if someone who displays no pics requests pics it's not unreasonable however how they word it or ask will determine wether or not I have any desire to message them. |

P.S. it's also handy to establish if you're attracted to someone from a get go, instead of chatting for ages then be like oh, I'm sorry you're not my type.
Personally we do send our face photos with a first message. Always.
That said we do not message profiles that we don't find attractive for whatever reason.

That's how I would feel about it. Talk, gauge the person, then and only when you think it might go somewhere else, think about pics. |

This in a nutshell
IF! I send a first message, then I would be ever hopeful that the receiving profile is not only "legit" and/or real but that we would potentially be a match for at least a social. Therefore I would generally attach our face pics as part of the introduction.
He tends to be a little lazier with a wink
And I would never approach a profile which I feel is "demanding" anything in any way unless I believe it to be written more in jest than anything else (I'm a sucker for humour ).
I personally just feel that the profile text sets a certain tone for any potentially ensuing conversation. A demand is an instant turn-off. In my opinion, the profile owner depicts a really negative trait, which I (albeit very much mistakenly so) would interpret as someone being too far up their own arse...  |

seems bit unfair alright I would advoid them types anyway find them suspicious if they have zero pics up |

I do understand the rationale behind it and I'm sure those women.still get loads of messages.
The reason I wouldn't recommend it though is because a woman is basically only receiving messages from the dregs of fab. The only men messaging a blank profile are the ones who are desperate for sex.
The men who are well liked because they are decent guys, funny, attractive etc wouldn't ever message a blank profile like that. That's what they've all told me anyway. |
