For us, we have the two distinct lists:
Friends list - people we have met (and liked) or have chatted to and plan to meet sometime.
Hotlist - people whose profiles we like but we haven't chatted to (much). We'd like to see their updates and photos and may like to meet down the line.

Hotlist feature is vital for me. I don't see how I could remember usernames of profiles that I like and may want to say hello to. Popping a profile on the hotlist takes care of that. |

I have quite a few on mine, for various reasons. Sometimes to keep an eye on people I don't trust. Sometimes to keep an eye on people I'd like to meet. Mostly so I get updated when hot profiles post something new.
I've often been curious to know if I'm on anyone's list. |

I wouldn't say alienate but if I see a guy name one or two that are on his and are totally opposite to me it would make me hesitate to meet him |

I send winks and friend requests to myself. Just to get that belly flutter when I see the notification. It's always a let down though

The hotlist function for us is important for many a reason.
Updates mostly on profiles we like, find interesting.
Maybe hotlist a new profile. See how they progress or not.
Have a few on also that we just want to keep an eye on. Local that we might want to avoid lol.
Everyone has an option on its functionality , good or bad. It is what it is. |
