Prowling for a while but new to attending atleast. Have rsvpd to tomorrow night but I’m wondering what constitutes as dress for in there? I’ve a bishop halloween costume would that do?
I know they say halloween costumes won’t do. But not into link dress at all. Just wondering for suggestions as to what I could wear |

All the tickets for Nimh have sold out now, so unless you bought one (not just clicked ‘attending’) you won’t be able to get in any way.
On the plus side, that gives you plenty of time to figure out something to wear… No, a bishops costume, or any other type of Halloween costume, would not do - they state that very clearly.
If you go on the website, there is a lot of guidance and suggestions. PVC is a cost effective option for people just dipping their toe in. Good luck! |

Ah ok fair enough, thanks for the advice.
Might just try the meet and greet anyway, see what the story is. Had a look on the website arite, I’ll try chat to people at that and go from there. |

There are a couple of munches (socials) coming up in the next couple of weeks as well, they would probably be more useful to you than the m&g. Just search Dublin munch on the site that shall not be named, and you’ll see the details. |

I imagine you'd have to show that you've a ticket for nimhneach before you'd be given details of the social before hand so a munch at another time is a better idea I think. |

No I have the email about the meet and greet, can’t remember if it mentioned tickets or not. I don’t think it did. |

I’m not sure they’d even let you in without a ticket to Nimh to be honest…
Plus they are very short and most people are new and a bundle of nerves. The munches are far more relaxed and you’ll get to talk to people who have been around for a really long time and will be able to give you solid advice.
I do think the dress codes are kinda tricky for men if you’re new or don’t have a particular fetish, but plenty do manage it. Like I said, pvc is great if you don’t want to shell out for leather/latex. Most people find their kink wardrobe grows pretty quickly though. |

Fair enough, thanks for the advice. If they’re pretty short don’t think there’s much point seeing as I don’t have a ticket anyway.
There’s some kind of social next week, maybe just do that instead. |

There are options for guys but its more limited than for the girls but you need to make an effort or you have no chance of getting in.
There is advice on the website but start small and go to a munch or two before taking the plunge.
You get a bit of steampunk or 30s gangster which is not that difficult to create without spending a fortune.
But you need to make the effort like others have made the effort or it will be a wasted evening.

Ive been to quite a few munches, and Nimhneach. I dont wear PVC, of leather, so i found Uniform is acceptable , cheaply got, and if worn well, and you are comfortable in it will get you a lot of attention. Dont get what passes for uniform in the sex shops, but get genuine gear in lots of places around dublin. Munches are socials and good fun. No need to dress up! |

Really good to see Nimhneach starting up again, definitely looking forward to pay a visit sometime.
Munches are definitely a good starting point to get involved in the scene and for tips regarding the dress code. |
