Booking.com is great and you do start to get discounts after you start booking regularly. Easy site to navigate and excellent cancellation options.

Use the sites to get an idea of the prices but usually the hotel offers a discount on the price to beat the other websites

One I stay in regularly is 5 euro cheaper and a free pint

I also think you get a better room direct

I generally use booking dot com, but I'll check the hotels own website also to make sure it'd not cheaper.

hotelscombined.ie or booking.com to get the idea.

Then usually directly the hotel is a tiny bit cheaper, not always. Other than the price, the cancellation policy is very important. Shit can happen, then it’s good to have the option not to be charged. Or use a prepaid card with no balance to book, so they can’t charge you. Then pay with the real card at the hotel.

I use hotels dot come. Same as mention above, good cancellation offers and also you can build up rewards points. I also cross check on the site off the actual hotel to see if they have a better rate for the same room.

Normally use booking.com but a lot of hotels have good offers at moment and check out escapes.ie

I compare hotels dot com, booking dot com, and after check the specific hotel website. Usually end up going with hotels dot com, and you build up rewards, so the hotel website would have to be 10% cheaper when the rewards are factored in.

We always try booking.com first but hotel prices are mental right now. Heading for Belfast at the end of the month and found a great Airbnb apartment all to ourselves in the city for €100 cheaper than a standard hotel room.
