No phone numbers are shared unless you've got anyone in your phone contacts already.
Be as careful with photos/videos as you would anywhere else. Its not really any different than kik, its just less annoying.

Go into settings privacy & security and change the following settings to either "my contacts" or "nobody".
- Phone number
- Calls
- Groups
Phone number: who you want to be able to see it.
Calls: if you don't change the settings you could get randomers calling you (if you join other groups). Scammers might do this to try and get your IP address.
Groups: change the setting so that randomers can't add you to random groups |
