I used to use the chatrooms a lot when I first started off on Fab so many years ago.
My very first meet from Fab was actually someone I met, and first spoke too, in the chat rooms.
To this day we still stay in touch and I consider her a good friend of mine.
I don't really go on to the chatrooms any more though. I tend to loiter more in the forums these days. |

"Been in them numerous times over the last 5 years. Still waiting on someone to acknowledge I was even there or respond to anything I said so won't be in a hurry back. "
If you're thinking of going in again, give me a shout. It'd be handy for me as well |

Exactly my experience too. I drop in, say hello and I'm ignored. It seems to be a closed club so I rarely bother anymore. |

Key is not to wait till someone decides to talk to you because they wont. Either join into existing conversation or start your own.
Don't be afraid to initiate conversations and don't be afraid of joining them either - nobody is going to bite you, unless you offend someone, obviously |

Done all that to no avail. Spent 2 hrs one new year's Eve commenting and initiating conversations with people I chat to most days in the forums. Not a single reply.
I didn't have any expectations but I deliberately only went into the Irish chatrooms because there was more chance of people knowing who I was but the focus was elsewhere. |

What's the story with it? Is it a text based chatroom but you have to show your webcam? |

If we would have been there - we wouldn't have ignored you.
Although it is very strange as a lot of forumites do come to chatrooms quite often xx |
