"Fish for brains and crusts give you curly hair according to my Granny..lol"

Actually, some truth in this.

Fish oil , as in oily fish or liver oil from white fish contains oils that make up the membrane in our brain cells that help the balance and keep everything working as it should.tge ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 in the western diet is waaaay off so more fish oil (omega 3) is good for you .

That's a simple definition of it but it's got to do with EPA, DHA and to a certain extent I think ALA but I think that's a bit controversial. It's years since I studied it but fish for brains is true , a bit

Eating something containing salmonella can give you salmonellosis. Salmonella is the bacteria that causes salmonellosis. It can be found in raw eggs

Very few raw eggs contain salmonella.. I've been eating raw eggs every morning for 10 years and I'm fine.. Its another food myth that people like you believe.. In the far east its common to crack raw eggs over hot rice to be eaten... 1 billion Chinese can't be wrong..

Some uncooked eggs do contain salmonella. It's not a myth. It's well known in the industry.

"Between 1995 and 2002, eggs were identified as the source of 53% of all cases of Salmonella reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In 2013, it was estimated that Salmonella caused around 1 million instances of illnesses in the United States"

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/eating-raw-eggs#salmonella-risk

Cracking an egg over rice (egg fried rice) or over tagliatelle (carbonara) is NOT the same as eating it raw. The residual heat in the pan and food is enough to cook the egg so it isn't considered raw. Heat kills Salmonella.

The eggs in Ireland are produced in extremely safe clean environments, but the egg comes out of the chickens ass , it can have extra particles on it that could make you sick. Bord Bia have a food safety stamp system in Ireland that gives a good chance that no unwanted bacteria could be present, but it might.

Food , particularly good that will not be cooked is high risk, if it's bought from an unlicensed producer then it's at a higher risk. You will probably not ever get sick but it is a possibility.

I've seen some nonsense on these forums but this is a fact. And millions of Chinese people died from food poisoning all the time , especially kids.

The benefits are similar to a live yogurt, but not everyone can tolerate it as with other fermented foods.

I drink it.. Its very similar to buttermilk in taste.. It supposedly has live cultures which are excellent for you're gut and touted as a cure for stomach ulcers.. The Best and cheapest place to buy kefir in Ireland is the East European food shops.. There is usually at least 1 in every town..

Further more to that your gut is linked to your brain. A happy gut and the right foods can help with depression and anxiety. Look up a Dr drew ramsey.
